Fetch AI Keyboard ("the app", "we") is built around a simple idea: we have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your data stays on your device or goes directly from your device to the AI provider you choose — never to us.
Nothing. We operate no backend. We cannot see your keystrokes, your prompts, your messages, your API keys, or anything else. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, and no crash reporters.
Before the app sends anything to an AI provider, it shows a consent screen that explains exactly what is sent and to whom, and asks you to agree. Nothing is sent to any AI provider until you tap "Agree & Continue" on that screen. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app's Settings ("AI data sharing"); once withdrawn, the keyboard simply inserts a card's saved text and no further data is sent.
Only when you ask — when you tap an ✦ AI card, run a 🔍 analysis card, or use the "Fetch AI" share action — the app sends the text you are acting on to the AI provider you configured, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, using your own API key. Depending on what you do, that text is:
It is not your general typing, and nothing is sent in the background. Snippet cards (📋) never contact any network — they paste saved text locally.
Your text is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you chose and connected with your own key — never to us (we run no servers). Supported providers are Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), and OpenAI; you may also connect any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you choose (for example Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral, or xAI), in which case your text goes to that provider. Each provider processes your text under its own privacy policy, which sets out the protections it applies to that data:
iOS requires the Full Access permission for any keyboard that uses the network, and shows a standard warning that such keyboards "may" transmit what you type. In Fetch AI Keyboard, network access is used for exactly one thing: delivering your tapped card's request to your chosen AI provider. We do not log, store, or transmit your typing anywhere else — and having no servers, we have nowhere to send it.
The clipboard is read only if you enable "Use clipboard as context" (off by default), and then only when you tap a card while the text field is empty. iOS shows its own paste notice whenever the clipboard is read.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your name, card details, or Apple ID.
Fetch AI Keyboard is not directed to children under 13.
